Dear friends, Worship is a mighty weapon God has given us to wage spiritual warfare against forces of darkness seeking to destroy our lives. Just as an army wields weapons of combat, we are equipped with worship as an offensive and defensive force in our daily battles.
When we worship God for who He is, praising His incomparable majesty and power, we align ourselves with truth and shake off deception and discouragement. Fixing our eyes on Jesus, not our circumstances, ignites faith and allows God’s peace to guard our minds. As we sing out in adoration of Christ’s victory on the cross, we declare freedom from sin’s captivity and death’s sting. The weapon of worship unleashes God’s triumph over evil securing our lives.
Worship is also a wall of protection against attacks aiming to instill fear and anxiety. Songs of trust in our good Father deflect the Enemy’s lies questioning God’s care and sovereignty over trials. Proclaiming Christ’s goodness fortifies our hearts to withstand hardship and remain rooted in joy.
Dear friends, just as soldiers trained in utilizing weapons are most prepared for battle, when we daily worship God for His awesome love and might, we equip ourselves to thrive amid spiritual warfare. Thank you so very much for these Scriptures which have fortified and encouraged me to continue to sing out to the Lord. I remember what He has saved me from and sing as if I am singing to Him on the throne and I find that He enables me to worship in freedom and to an extent not otherwise possible. My husband has always taught me that worship is a weapon. I am praying he will return to church and worship with our four offspring and I. Satan has attacked him the most as head of our home. Worshipping the Lord in song gives me courage and enables me to overcome feelings of despair as a woman attending church without her husband. It provides protection.
